ISO CERTIFICATION Renewed! February 23 2015
Being our second year as an ISO certified organisation we were very pleased to receive our certification renewal. It's been an interesting year keeping up with audits and propelling the company forward through the continual improvement process. Having forms and processes relevant to our particular organisation and making them quick and easy to fill in or relate to has been the primary goal for the past year. Who would have guessed we'd be up to revision 6 already for our design development form! We'll get it right this year.This year's focus is on maintaining the momentum. We found so much to do this last year there is plenty to fix, improve, discard, and even enjoy. A change is as good as a holiday....as long as it's an improvement.
New Brochure - PACMAN Coil Tilter November 11 2014
While we have been developing this Coil Tilter (also called an 'upender') for a number of years it is only now that we have comissioned a professional brochure for our PACMAN Coil Tilter.The PACMAN Coil Tilter is run electronically (as opposed to our Hydraulic Coil Tilter) and has a distinctive PACMAN shape allowing the base to swivel at precise increments. This coil tilter is also designed to be on a minimal footprint - perfect for small spaces.As with all our machines, we can supply safety guarding if required or the Purchaser can incorporate existing/new guarding to suit their layout.Over the years of developing and making the PACMAN Coil Tilter we have had NIL returns and only satisfied customers (ie. they usually end up ordering more). The Coil Tilters are designed with quality componentry sourced within Australia and are fully manufactured here in our Workshop with care.

Amendment To Eastall Terms And Conditions August 19 2014
As part of an annual update of our systems we have reviewed our Terms and Conditions. There are a few small changes, the key ones being:
  • We have modified our payment methods to exclude credit cards. We no longer offer payment by credit card
  • Unfortunately, we no longer offer transit insurance as part of our freight package. Customers must organise their own insurance if they would like goods covered during delivery regardless of whether we organised the freight and charged the customer, or whether the customer has organised freight themselves.
  • We have clarified some of our Returns Policy which is commonly called a 'Back-to-Base' style warranty.
  • We have added 'Eastall Precision Engineering' as a business name in itself.

Lean Manufacturing A Success November 29 2013
Under the guidance and training of Efficiency Works, we completed the five day comprehensive Lean Manufacturing program developed specifically for our workshop.The program took our entire workforce on a journey discovering, some for the first time, interesting tools and concepts such as 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Group Problem Solving, and Set-Up Time Reduction.As a group learning exercise it was highly successful and we have gone on to implement a number of strategies as an outcome of the course. Externally, the focus is now firmly directed towards achieving KPI's that include measuring client outcomes on a regular basis and providing feedback across the company. Internally we have more consensus on the need to maintain a clean and efficient workplace and an understanding of how we can keep a continual improvement culture.
